Creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and situational management are now among the most important skills for the evolving job market. Destination Imagination helps student teams build those skills by solving STEAM based challenges with a focus on Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, and Service Learning skills. Every aspect of the solutions to these team Challenges must be solved exclusively by student team members. Arriving at tournament with a solution is a huge and complete win for the team!
This and next Saturday, New Hampshire Destination Imagination (NH-DI) Regional Tournaments will welcome over 700 students on teams from around the state to share their solution with the Appraisers who will adjudicate the solutions. Teams in grades 2-12 will have their solutions appraised for creativity, problem-solving and collaboration skills in their selected Challenge and within their age group. There is also a non-competitive Early Learning Challenge that allows participants to develop social and problem-solving skills.
The Regional competitions are Saturday at Souhegan High School in Amherst and next weekend at Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith.
