The highest scoring teams will advance to compete with hundreds of other teams from all around the world at Destination Imagination Global Finals.

We have decided that a Low Contact Tournament will be the safest way to hold our Affiliate Tournament. The safety of all participants and volunteers is extremely important, and many of our volunteers and participants are in high risk groups, either because of their age or because of preexisting health conditions. Some will spend most of the day in areas of the school that will be visited by hundreds of team members and their Team Managers.

We also know that being able to interact with each other is an important component for both Teams and Appraisers. The Low Contact Tournament will allow this to happen.

The Low Contact Tournament is meant to help protect our teams, Team Managers, and Appraisers. While this will be different from our traditional in-person Tournaments, it will permit teams to safely present their Challenge solutions to Appraisers, and then talk with the Appraisers about their unique approaches to the Challenges.

The schedule is arranged so that the Team Challenge presentation and Instant Challenge are about an hour apart. Due to the need to keep the number of people in the building at a minimum, no spectators will be permitted. However, we are hoping to be able to video all Challenge presentations to share virtually with the whole NH-DI community. The virtual Closing Ceremony will be on Sunday, March 13.

To learn more about the procedures we’ve planned to help protect everyone attending the tournament, please visit our Low Contact Tournament Procedures page.

Friday, March 18

To give everyone the opportunity to watch team performances as they would at a normal DI tournament, we recruited volunteers to record videos of as many team presentations as possible.

We’re currently uploading the video recordings that they’ve sent to us. The files are quite large, though, so it’s a slow process that is likely to take the better part of a week. We’ll post the videos for each Challenge here as soon as they’re ready.

Watch the online Awards Ceremony at 7:00 PM Monday on YouTube!

Saturday, March 12

Watch the online Opening Ceremony at 6:30 PM Saturday on YouTube.

We’ve changed some of the performance times to accommodate teams that had conflicts on Sunday, and this led to changes in the team volunteer schedule. Here are the final tournament schedule (sorted by Challenge) and the final volunteer schedule (sorted by school or organization).

To help you find the closest parking area when you arrive, we also have an aerial view of Souhegan HS with the available parking areas and entrances A and B shown on the map.

Friday, March 11

We have postponed the NH-DI Affiliate Tournament to Sunday, March 13 (the scheduled snow day) because of the predicted winter storm on Saturday.

The Virtual Opening Ceremony will now kick off on Saturday, March 12 at 6:30 PM. We’ll cover important info for the tournament day on Sunday, and will include a virtual parade of teams to cheer. The YouTube link will be posted to this page shortly.

If the change of date will cause conflicts for your team and/or another time slot is needed, please email Terri Behm at terri.behm@nhicc.org. We’ll do our best to shift things around to accommodate everyone.

We will plan to see volunteers at their scheduled time; again, if a time shift is needed let Terri know.

Finally, if your team just cannot be there (and we really hope this doesn’t happen), please notify Terri. An adjusted final schedule will be posted to the Tournament Page on Saturday.

Results and awards will be announced at our Virtual Closing ceremony that is now scheduled for Monday at 7:00 PM. The YouTube link for closing will be posted to this page.

Friday, March 4

An updated version of the preliminary tournament schedule is now available.

Want to know where your team will present their Team Challenge solution? It’s shown on our map of the building with all of the key locations.

To help prevent crowding as teams enter the main building, we are planning to use two different entrances. The entrance that your team should use will depend on their Team Challenge. Please check the map to find out where your team will enter the building.

The team volunteer schedule is now available. Please make sure that your team’s volunteer knows when and where they’ll be working, because we’re counting on these volunteers to arrive on time. We can’t run the tournament without them!

Teams won’t be allowed to have lunch in the cafeteria, so we’ve created a list of places to eat near Souhegan HS.

Monday, February 21

The preliminary tournament schedule is now available. Please note that the times shown in this schedule are PRELIMINARY, and there will probably be at least a few small changes before the tournament.
