SPECIAL AWARD – The Renaissance Award
Martin and Martian, a Middle Level, homeschool team from Merrimack, NH participating in the Scientific Challenge, was awarded a Renaissance Award during the tournament. The Renaissance Award is bestowed to teams for outstanding skill in the areas of design, engineering, execution, or performance. Martin & Martian wowed the appraisers with a performance well beyond their years. They demonstrated an in-depth understanding of the real phenomenon of glass rain, and used their skills to build and coordinate computer and audio capabilities to successfully enhance the presentation. Their elaborate demonstration rained “wow!” upon the appraisal team.
