New Destination Imagination Team Managers from around New Hampshire were trained at Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday (November 16th). Team Managers are the volunteer adults who facilitate the creative solutions that students, from pre-K through college develop at Destination Imagination tournaments. Training was led by a series of alumni (adults who were on teams as students), seasoned Team Managers, and NH Destination Imagination leadership.

The Team Managers had discussion sessions, overview of the rules and best practices, and learned how to facilitate teamwork from student teams. They also practiced Instant Challenges, a multifaceted Challenge that teams will see in competition (or presentation for non-competitive teams) that help students build their “think of their feet” skills.

Now with over 120,000 innovative Granite State alumni, NH-DI offers pre-k through college students unique and exciting opportunities to explore creative solutions and persevere through challenges through collaboration.

NH-DI is more than just a competition program; it’s a journey of igniting innovation, collaboration and inclusion in all ages. Students work in teams (up to 7 per team) to create original solutions to their chosen open-ended challenge: Science, Engineering, Technical, Fine Arts, Improvisational, or Service Learning. Through the teams’ journey creating their unique solution to the proposed challenge, students gain invaluable skills in persistence and perseverance, learning from both successes, and most importantly, from failures.

Teams continue to form. Find out more at: questions@nh-di.org.
