If your child loves hands-on projects, tackling unusual challenges, and making new
friends, they’ll love Camp Gottalikachallenge! “Gotta Camp” is a chance for campers
from across the country to spend a week together working on creative problem solving,
social emotional learning, and making new friends.

At Gotta Camp, our mission is to empower our campers to approach life’s challenges
with confidence. Gotta Camp creates a safe, structured, caring, and supportive
environment where campers are encouraged to share their talents, to take risks, to
recognize their similarities and differences, to be inclusive, become leaders, and to have
fun!

The week is a mix of outdoor activities and classic summer camp fun, combined with
the more offbeat activities that Gotta Camp is known for. Each morning, campers work
in their Gotta Groups to come up with a solution for this summer’s Gotta Problem which
they present to the whole camp at the end of the week. It’s basically a whole Destination
Imagination season in six days.

Every afternoon there are free choice activity periods that range from swimming and
field games to learning to screen print, or playing improv games, creating a scavenger
hunt, or learning how to use power tools – these sessions all come from our amazing
staffers. We encourage them to bring their skills and passions with them to camp, so
these offerings are new and different every session, every day!

SUMMER 2024
This summer, Camp Gottalikachallenge is offering two Overnight sessions:

  • Overnight 1: July 28-Aug 2 at Lions Camp Pride in New Durham, NH
  • Overnight 2: Aug 4-9 at New Hampton School in New Hampton, NH

Gotta Camp is open to any child who will be entering 5th through 9th grades. Enthusiasm
for group activities, curiosity, and an eagerness to learn are a must. Gotta Campers are
expected to treat each other with respect, to approach activities with an open mind, and
to contribute in a positive way to the camp experience.

Gotta Camp’s high-energy staff is dedicated to making each child’s experience at camp
thoroughly rewarding. The staff includes a Director, Assistant Directors, and
experienced coaches and junior coaches – many of whom were campers themselves.
Most adult staffers have degrees in education and/or extensive experience with
Destination Imagination, and all are skilled in facilitating creative problem-solving
activities.
