Creativity, collaboration and problem solving take center stage this Saturday as 51 teams will compete in STEAM and service learning Challenges at NH Destination Imagination State Finals in Bedford, NH. 

Some 200 students will participate in Challenges that focus on DI’s core areas: Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Maths, and service learning. These teams advanced  through regional tournaments held in March, where over 100 teams from around the state competed. Top scoring teams in each Challenge and age level at this weekend’s tournament will qualify to attend Destination Imagination Global Finals in May in Kansas City, MO.

QUICK FACTS:

WHAT: 51 student teams from around the state will compete at NH Destination Imagination State Finals for the opportunity to advance to Destination Imagination Global Finals. These teams will compete with teams from nearly every U.S. state and over 15 countries. The team’s Challenge solutions, based on Future of Work Skills, will be appraised for  creativity, collaboration and problem-solving in STEAM-based and service learning Challenges.

 

WHO:  Students, grades 2-12 from 19 N.H. communities who were among the top scoring teams in New Hampshire DI Regional Tournaments earlier in the month. The teams were scored by Challenge and age level and appraised for Challenge-specific scoring, including creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
As with all D.I. Challenges, solutions must be strictly team created.

 

WHY: To advance to represent New Hampshire at Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City this May.
