This Saturday, NH Destination Imagination will join the family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness at the Dover Maker Faire , sponsored by the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire in Dover, from 10AM – 4 PM.
NH-DI will be among the many Makers at the Faire – and asking others to use their creativity to protect the defenseless Grapes from the evil Grape Crushing/Destructo Machine created by the NH-DI team!
The Faire takes place in Dover, NH and is spread out across four locations: inside the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire, outside the museum in both upper and lower Henry Law Park and across the river at One Washington Mill. There are TWO entrances to the Faire…one directly by the big blue crab that guards the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire and outside the entrance to One Washington Mill.
If you’re not familiar with the Maker movement, “Maker Faire is primarily designed to be forward-looking, showcasing makers who are exploring new forms and new technologies. But it’s not just for the novel in technical fields; Maker Faire features innovation and experimentation across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, performance and craft”, according the to their web site. We have numerous alumni and team members in the ranks of the international Maker movement.
Connect with the Dover Maker Faire on Facebook and Twitter at @MakerFaireDover. See you there!
