The Board of Directors of New Hampshire’s Incredible Creativity Connection is pleased to announce that Anna Maenhout has agreed to join NHICC as our new Executive Director. She will succeed Jill Schoonmaker, who retired at the end of the summer.
Anna is very excited to become the new leader of our organization. She was introduced to our team members and volunteers when she came to the morning session of our Instant Combustion workshop on Saturday.
Anna knows what it takes to design programs to foster creativity and innovation in students, and to engage communities to support them. As a member of the senior leadership team at FIRST, Anna led the efforts that created FIRST LEGO League and FIRST LEGO League Jr., and built a network of more than 600 FLL regional events in 65 countries. Anna also conceived, developed, and implemented the FLL Global Innovation Award, which earned attention from President Obama, the U.S. State Department, and international news outlets during its pilot season.
