Volunteers from around New Hampshire took a day to learn how to start to equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders. New Team Managers for the non-profit NH Destination Imagination, or “DI” attended the training Saturday at Pembroke Academy in Pembroke.
Destination Imagination student teams of up to seven students from K-college utilize Team Managers as facilitators as the students solve one of several open-ended challenges that focus in STEM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning and Early Learning. Over 3,000 Granite State students will join over 150,000 students around the world who are taking part in DI this year.
Team Managers learned about the non-profit educational program, how to empower student team members with critical and creative thinking, collaboration, project management and problem-solving skills. These teams will be among the more than 200 New Hampshire Destination Imagination teams that will compete in academic tournaments in March.
More information about the program or how to start a team can be found at NH-DI.org, or by calling NH Destination Imagination at (603) 868-2140
