Over the past two weeks, over two hundred volunteers to New Hampshire Destination Imagination learned to appraise creative student-generated solutions to complex Challenges. The solutions will be demonstrated at the NH-DI upcoming tournaments in March and April.
This is in addition to the 100 Appraisers trained earlier.
The open-ended Challenges that must be totally student-solved are based in Science, Technology, the Arts, Engineering, Math (STEAM) and social learning. Appraisers, this weekend trained at Merrimack Valley Middle School, took part in hands-on learning of the Challenge rules and how to appraise the creative solutions.
A growing number of Appraisers to NH-DI continue to come from the ranks of the Alumni – those who have been on teams in the organizations 32-year history. Alumni now make up about one-third of all appraisers as well as a growing number of NH-DI Board of Directors.
