Thousands of kids and their parents from around New Hampshire crowded into the Radisson Hotel Manchester Saturday as we joined in at the annual Boys & Girls Clubs of Manchester (NH) Kids Day Event.
Destination Imagination helps teach the creative process to students with a focus on collaboration, communications and skills that build confidence. Student teams of up to seven students choose challenges based in science, technology, the arts, engineering, math or social learning. In the spring, teams present the solution to those challenges at competition where they are appraised for creativity, teamwork and collaboration. Getting this message across quickly at an event this large is challenging, but the alumni and board members at the booth were able to challenge the students who were checking NH-DI out.
Special thanks to Samantha Allen, Laura Thielker, Laura Chase and Craig Richardson for engaging the kids and parents!
