Representatives to 2022’s Team NH prepare to be welcomed at Global Finals in Kansas City, MO.
Tonight, student teams from New Hampshire joined teams from around the world at the largest academic competition and celebration of creativity, Destination Imagination Global Finals. The event, is being held in Kansas City, MO runs from May 21 through May 24, 2022. Teams are participating from around the US and around the world. Among these teams are 12 Granite State teams from Bedford, Bow, Derry, Indian River, Milford, Rindge, Swanzey, and Windham.
Student-led teams solve complex STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) Challenges and build creativity, collaboration and problem-solving skills. Core social-emotional learning (SEL) competencies such as responsible decision making, self-awareness, and self-management are fostered.
Teams form in the fall, compete within New Hampshire by Challenge and age group. Top-scoring teams in the state can then advance to Destination Imagination Global Finals. Almost 120 teams competed this year in New Hampshire.
New Hampshire Destination Imagination (NH-DI) is run by the New Hampshire Innovation and Creativity Connection (NHICC), a New Hampshire-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is dedicated to these goals.
