The relationship with Destination Imagination and East Tennessee is close as we hold our Global Finals competition in Knoxville. Our international organization, Destination Imagination, Inc. (DII) has partnered with many groups in the areas most affected by the wildfires in that region.
Project Outreach, is one of the Challenges that teams may select. A key part of Project Outreach is for teams to help people in need in their local communities. East Tennessee is, in a way, a part of our local community at DII and for all the many people who have ever attended Global Finals.
With this in mind, we are announcing a special Project Outreach effort from Destination Imagination Headquarters.
During the months of December and January, the registration fees for all teams that register for Project Outreach will be donated to the Dollywood Foundation’s My People Fund. One hundred percent of all donations to the My People Fund go to families whose primary residence is a complete loss or is uninhabitable due to the wildfires in Sevier County.
