We expect to have nearly 100 teams at our state tournament from all over New Hampshire. The highest scoring teams will advance to compete with over 1,300 other teams from around the world at Destination Imagination Global Finals.

Please try to check this page on a regular basis for schedule updates and other important announcements. This is also where we’ll post the tournament results, and photos taken during the tournament.

I’ve posted a copy of the tournament map. This should help everyone who is wondering where they should park. But please don’t park in any areas where parking isn’t allowed! We wouldn’t want to disrupt performances by using the school’s PA system to make an announcement, so if your car has to be moved, we won’t be able to warn you before the tow truck arrives.

The two-hour volunteer schedule is now available. Please look for your team’s assignment, and let your volunteer know when they’re scheduled to work. They should check in at the Information Table a few minutes before their scheduled start time. This makes it easier for us to reassign volunteers if our needs change during the day. Of course, if your volunteer arrives at the Information Table before it’s open for business, they should proceed directly to their assigned job.

I know many of you will have a long drive to the State Tournament. That’s why I’ve tried to give the earliest time slots to teams from nearby towns (except for two teams that asked for a 7:00 AM assignment). But to help make up for the early arrival time, I’ve also shortened the assignments for most of the early morning volunteers. Fair enough?

Answers to a few questions that we’ve received:

  • Does our school need to bring another raffle item? We’d like schools to bring a new raffle item to the State Tournament, unless your school donated one of the major prizes that we were planning to raffle off at the state tournament. Some of you have already been very generous in your donations, and we’d like to thank you for your support!
  • Do we need to bring another cake? Yes, please! The Cake Walk is a very popular activity for our teams, and in order to have this at the State Tournament, we’ll need a supply of cakes.
  • What team paperwork will we need to bring? Your team will need to bring fresh copies of the required paperwork for their Challenge. Teams are allowed to improve (or even completely replace) their Challenge solution, so we’ll need paperwork that accurately reflects the solution that your team plans to present at the State Tournament. For more information, visit our Team Paperwork Page
  • Can we run a fundraiser at the State Tournament? We usually allow local DI programs to sell items at our tournaments, but if you want to do this, NH-DI must approve it in advance. We need to coordinate this, so there won’t be too many tables in the cafeteria, or multiple groups selling similar items.

The initial version of the preliminary tournament schedule is now available. Please check the times for your teams, and email Craig if you have any questions or concerns.

Some of you have asked when the two-hour volunteer schedule will be available. The volunteer assignments should be ready by early next week, and as soon as that happens, we’ll post an announcement and a link to the schedule on this page.
