McKelvie Intermediate School, Bedford

Challenge: Coming Attractions Middle Level

This Coming Attraction really made us want to go see this movie! The team’s set allowed for a rapid yet fluid change between scenes from the engaging love-story turned murder-mystery. The soundtrack spoke to our emotions and was the true auditory representation of the film. We are on the edge of our seats and can’t wait to find out what happens! Congratulations to McKelvie team Lotz!

The Renaissance Award for outstanding Design, Engineering, Execution, Performance

Sunset Heights, Nashua

Challenge: Hold It! Elementary Level

The constant motion of a team member wearing blue chiffon fabric was an unconventional and beautiful way to create waves without water. The team’s poised, polished performance was so effective that we could almost smell the ocean air in the gym. Congratulations to the team from Sunset Heights!

Hollis DI, Hollis

Challenge: Coming Attractions Secondary Level

This team created a Trojan horse that could carry an entire team member inside but still fit seamlessly through a standard doorway, and that is only the beginning of their incredibly polished presentation. From the full set of ancient God playing cards, to their hieroglyphic inscribed columns, the level of attention to detail that was paid to each element of this coming attraction was truly extraordinary. Congratulations to the Team from Hollis DI!

Hollis DI, Hollis

Challenge: News to Me Secondary Level

This team drew us in from the moment they entered the room. Their performance was laugh-out-loud hilarious and included everything from a human chicken suit to an edible traffic jam. In what can be a very difficult challenge this team kept the audience fully engaged, amazed and laughing through a continuous and seamless flow of creativity. Congratulations to the team from Hollis DI!

Spirit of Discovery and ImagiNation Award (Spirit of DI)

This award is given in recognition of those who act as superior role models in the areas of spirit, sportsmanship and volunteerism.

Auburn Village School, Auburn

Challenge: Rising Stars! Built to Last

During their polished Rising Star performance, this group exhibited outstanding teamwork. They were clearly tuned into each other, and used democratic decision making and creative problem solving tools to demonstrate mutual respect and a very successful outcome. Each member of the team used unique skills to create a clear story that truly answered the challenge well. We also loved the team’s original idea of recycling by turning old toys into new useful ones.  Congratulations to the Auburn Village School!
