Volunteers from around the state learned to facilitate student creativity, problem-solving and collaboration skills at New Hampshire Destination Imagination New Team Manager Training Saturday at Pembroke Academy.

Facilitating creativity and collaboration skills are key for Destination Imagination (or “D.I.”) teams in solving their competitive Challenges that are based in areas that are Technical, Scientific, Structural, Fine Arts, Improvisational, or Service Learning. Commonly known as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math), these Challenges create the basis of D.I. challenge-learning program.
The combination of parent and educator volunteers learned how to facilitate their teams to build and apply creativity, problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills. Teams must solve these challenges alone, without adult or other interference.
This year, nearly 3,000 students in New Hampshire will join over 150,000 students in 48 states and 30 countries in solving Destination Imagination Challenges.
