20140525HB_DI Destination Imagination Global Finals, the international Challenge-based learning competition of creativity, collaboration skills, science, technology, the arts, engineering, math and service learning closed Saturday night at the University of Tennessee Thompson-Boling Arena. Not only did Team New Hampshire finish well, but were led by award-winning finished by Pinkerton Academy and Hollis Brookline DI Teams (photos below). In addition, several New Hampshire students, volunteers and even our Executive Director were recognized for extraordinary achievements.

Hollis Brookline DI team finished 3rd place in the World in their technical challenge, Dig In, Secondary Level.

Pinkerton Academy finished first within their challenge and age group for the think-on-your-feet portion of the competition, Instant Challenge., and finished 9th overall.

DI Scholars were led by the graduation valedictorian, Mariah Maki, who addressed the nearly 600 20140525PA_HighICgraduates in attendance who chose to “walk” at DI graduation. She was awarded a generous scholarship as were three additional New Hampshire students.
