Over 50 new volunteers were trained this weekend to facilitate students blending creativity with science, math, the arts, engineering and service learning. They are our newest NH Destination Imagination Team Managers. They will facilitate, in total, some 400 students who will be taking part in learning-based challenges which will be presented by their teams at tournaments in March.

DI focuses on the creative process, leveraging what student members like and are good at, and being the “guard rail” to help the team drive to a solution that meets the scoring areas of the team-selected Challenge. Team Managers cannot insert their ideas in the team solution.

NH-DI would like to thank Pembroke Academy who hosted this year’s new Team Manager training.

Each year, over 2,000 Granite State students join the over 125,000 students in 48 states and 30 countries who participate in Destination Imagination. Teams are mostly run as extra-curricular activities.

More Team Manager training [PDF info]  is scheduled for Saturday, November 17th  at  Merrimack Valley Middle School, Penacook, NH.
