Each New Hampshire town will be assigned to one of our four regional Destination Imagination tournaments.
Please note that towns might not be assigned to the closest regional tournament. There is a limit to the number of teams that we can accommodate at any given tournament, and some NH communities have many DI teams. This means that we don’t always have enough room for the teams from every nearby town. In determining the regional assignments, we do look at the distances involved, though, and always do our best to keep your drive as short as possible!
If you would like to know where the teams from your town went last season, the 2016-2017 assignments are listed on this page.
However, it is NOT safe to assume that every town will be assigned to the same regional tournament that they went to last year. There are always changes in the town assignments! One reason for this is that the tournament locations often change from year to year. We might also need to move towns to a different regional tournament to prevent overcrowding caused by changes in the number of teams within their part of the state.
We will publish this season’s regional tournament assignments as soon as we can! But because we feel it’s important to consider travel time when we make the assignments, the assignments will depend on the locations of the tournaments. This means that we first need to be able to confirm our use of the schools at which the tournaments will be held. Many schools will not approve facility requests until shortly after school begins in the fall.
