Closing Celebration at Destination Imagination Global Finals 2016
Last fall, over 150,000 students in 30 countries competed in the same Destination Imagination STEAM-based Challenges that our New Hampshire teams were doing. In just under a month, the top-scoring teams from 48 states, 15+ countries will meet and compete at Destination Imagination Global Finals at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In all, over 17,000 people will converge on the city that thinks it’s a town.
The event, held from May 24-27,2017 is often described by adults, team members and team managers as a “life changing event” where creativity is the norm. Down time is educational with events and exhibits from NASA, Oracle, CASIS (International Space Station), Ford STEAM Experience, Oracle Academy, Michigan Tech Mind Trekkers, Siemens, Mayo Clinic, The Hovercraft Project and many others!
