The annual Team Manager Cafe is one of those traditions that bring new and veteran Team Managers together with sessions on emerging best practices to help their teams create and own their solution to complex Destination Imagination Challenges one of several areas: Technical, Scientific, Structural, Fine Arts, Improvisational, and Service Learning. In fact, most Challenges are blended with elements of the arts and STEM where students develop creativity, communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills and sense of confidence.

Saturday, at Penacook’s Merrimack Valley Middle School, over 125 volunteer Team Managers learned ways to facilitate the best in a team without interfering in the team’s answer. A DIfferentiator in Destination Imagination is that the team must create, manage and develop their solution – fully on their own.
A variety of tools and techniques on the Challenge, what Appraisers are looking for, creating teamwork and many other courses were open to attendees, as well as special classes for the Team Managers of the non-competitive Rising Stars! Challenge.
