Destination Imagination is an educational program where student teams are immersed in the creative process needed to solve open-ended Challenges, and then present their solutions at regional and state tournaments. If they win at those levels, they may qualify for Global Finals.

This year, over 200,000 students in 30 countries will take part in D.I. Challenges. Included are over 2,000 Granite States students. Over 1,300 teams will be participating at Global Finals.

Annually, we offer seven new standards-based Challenges in STEAM, Improv, Visual Arts, Service Learning, and Early Learning. Each Challenge is open-ended and enables student teams to learn and experience the creative process from imagination to innovation. Academic tournaments take place around the world where teams have the opportunity to present their solutions to trained appraisers. Students have fun and gain confidence in their ability to solve any challenge. In working to solve our Challenges, teams learn 21st century skills (creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, citizenship and confidence) to build on their unique strengths. “DI” is unique in that these solutions must be fully solved and created by the team members alone.

In the Granite State, the program is run by the New Hampshire Destination Imagination program.
