NHDI_NewTM14-037It’s takes an outstanding volunteer to be willing to learn how to facilitate a team of students to leverage their creativity and build their communications, collaborations and problem solving skills. Fortunately, nearly 70 new Destination Imagination team managers were up to the task and attended  the New “TM” Café on Saturday at Pembroke Academy.

The hardest part for some was to remember this is a kids-hands-on; adults-hands-off program. That means the complex solutions to challenges based in Technical, Scientific, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Structural and Service Learning must be solved by the team members in grades K-12 … and the team members alone. These are the building blocks of both STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) as well as 21st Century Skill requirements.

TEAM MANAGERS: Please be sure to join us for the ALL TEAM MANAGER CAFE on Saturday, November 22nd. [details].
