This Saturday, hundreds of NH students preparing for competition in science, technology, the arts, engineering and math will meet at the University of New Hampshire. They will learn new ways to infuse creativity with school subjects to drive stunning results. These students are members of NH Destination Imagination teams and are among the over 2,000 Granite State students who will take part in “DI” competitions starting in March.

In large part, this event is run by the NH-DI alumni.  In all, there are over 100,000 NH-DI alumni, part of the 1.5 million Destination Imagination alumni worldwide.

Event Brief

What & Why? Team members from NH Destination Imagination teams from around the state meet for hands-on sessions to leverage creativity, teamwork and presentation skills. These skills will be used for central challenge and instant challenge competition at regional and state competitions that being in March.

When: Saturday, January 12 at 10 AM – 1:30 PM . (Registration starts at 9AM).

Where: The MUB (Memorial Union Building) at the University of New Hampshire, Durham.

Who: CREDENTIALED PRESS ONLY. This is NOT a public event.

Best photo ops times: 10 AM – 1:15 PM. There are numerous, concurrent break-out sessions keeping groups small!

The Destination Imagination (DI) program encourages teams of learners to have fun, take risks, focus, and frame challenges while incorporating STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the arts, and service learning.

Our participants learn patience, flexibility, confidence, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas, and the collaborative problem solving process.

Saturday, April 6 State Tournament, location to be announced

Tuesday, May 21 – Saturday, May 25: Destination Imagination Global Finals with top teams from around the Globe.
