At the beginning of the school year, nearly 300 teams from around the Granite State started working on team challenges based in core school subjects with a focus on science, technology, the arts, engineering, math or social learning. Friday night at Londonderry High School, the 39 teams that will represent New Hampshire at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals met to become Team New Hampshire. Our teams will compete with top creative problem-solving teams from all 48 states and 15 other countries.

Teams practiced their “think on their feet” skills with Instant Challeges, learned from other team members, alumni and NH-DI officials what to expect at the world’s largest problem-solving competition. Meanwhile, their parents and Team Manager facilitators learned what they needed to know. And after the meetings, some 40 gallons of ice cream met their fate with some 25 pounds of toppings in the NH-DI Spoil Your Dinner traditional send-off for the teams.

In all, 1,200+ teams will be at the University of Tennessee from May 23-26 to compete and learn from each other.
