Ice Cream; Destination ImagiNation “Team NH” Meet Before International Competition

Top Creative Problem Solving Teams from New Hampshire Get Ready to Compete with Teams from 13 Countries; All 50 States at Destination ImagiNation Global Finals

In the fall, New Hampshire fielded over 300 creative problem solving teams from over 150 schools and community groups to compete in creative problem solving competitions.  This Friday, the top 33 teams, “Team New Hampshire”, will take a break from their massive fundraising efforts to meet together for the first time to learn what they can expect later this month at the World’s largest creativity competition: Destination ImagiNation Global Finals.

On Friday, teams from around the state will meet in Londonderry for the annual “spoil your dinner” event. This is where teams will learn from NH-DI board members, appraisers, alumni and experienced team members who have been to Global Finals before exactly what they can expect at this amazing international event attended by nearly 26,000 people.

This is where they became Team New Hampshire – representing not only their communities, but the Granite State and the United States!

Teams will practice tournament problem solving and innovation strategies in a relaxed atmosphere – and then enjoy ice cream together.

Destination ImagiNation features teams of up to seven students that choose one of the six “Challenges” that blend core school subjects with a focus in the arts, math, science, literature, technical and structural design or community service. Each team competes with other teams within their Challenge and their grade level. These teams have succeeded at several levels of competition to qualify for the International event.
